Potting with my favorite girl

Emma and I have been potting plants since she was a little girl about 4 years old!

Today she was at it again with the old peep potting up a tray of Thai Giant Alocasia that I had ordered.

This is probably one of my favorite Alocasia just because of the shear size this plant can grow to!

So I am aiming to get as much growth as I can from these liners and have them available at the Boone County Arboretum plant sale the third weekend of September.

I’m wanting to save several for myself to use on the property. I have found that Thai Giant can be difficult to find sometimes, just like trying to get Musa basjoo this year. Both of the growers I would purchase them from had a back ordered on them.

So Emma and I will grow our babies into large strapping elephant ears that tower over the landscape, at least that’s the dream!!
